Not raining this morning

Working, discovering and learning together in the garden:

Found this big mother nurseryweb spider carrying her large egg sack around. We learned quite a bit about their life, another project:

Been weeding:

Bug boy:
Timo also found what he thought was a newly emerged from the earth cicada. This year whilst gardening we have come across various stages of the cicada in its fascinating life process involving living under the earth as nymphs for probably up to 5 years. There is a type of cicada species that lives underground in North America for up to 17 years!

Update with Geoff in Mongolia: Geoff is building a house in Mongolia so won't be coming back to NZ and Timo has taken over the business. He didn't expect to be in the position of running the business but he's up for the job.
